This morning
Once again, the western regions, between Aquitaine, the Garonne valley and the neighboring regions of the English Channel spend the morning under a thick foggy gray. Patches of freezing fog are present in the Saône valley and in the Alsace plain. Everywhere else, the sun shines, from daybreak but it is cold with good frosts.
We expect -2°C in Strasbourg, 1°C in Montpellier, 2°C in Paris, 6°C in Bordeaux and Lille up to 8°C in Brest.
This afternoon
East of a Charleville-Mézières / Paris / Arcachon line, you spend the afternoon in the sun. A few patches of gray can nevertheless resist in the Garonne valley and the Saône valley. In the mountains, it is mild. Near the Mediterranean, in full sun, the feeling can seem like spring. In all other regions, gray weather dominates, especially near the English Channel as well as in the Pays de la Loire as far as Charente.
It is cooler than Thursday afternoon in the north and in Rhône-Alpes with 3°C in Strasbourg, 6°C in Paris and Lyon. On the other hand, under the southern sun, it is milder with 14°C in Biarritz and 16°C in Nice.

The weather remains calm, still gray in the northwest and clear skies in the other regions where the cold quickly increases as soon as night falls.

The weekend will remain calm but clouds will invade most of the country on Sunday. It will be cold in the morning in the east with good frosts. Subsequently, we are heading towards a wetter New Year's Eve with the passage of a disturbance for New Year's Eve night and New Year's Day 2025 which will bring a little rain
