Since 2017, it has been their garden: the Loenhout cross-country race in Belgium has been won either by Mathieu Van der Poel or Wout Van Aert for the past 8 years. For this edition, Mathieu Van der Poel leaves with an advantage since he has won all the cyclo-crosses he has competed in.
Van Aert was due to return to competition on Monday in Mol, but due to illness, he had to postpone his return, having not ridden a bike in competition since his fall at the Tour of Spain. The race is broadcast on Eurosport. Start of hostilities at 3 p.m.
