If Italian cuisine is still on the rise in Paris, finding places that last over time, powered by good local products and led by chefs with an authentic approach, can be more complex. Unless we go through the door of Stern Coffee.
Inaugurated in 2014, the restaurant run by a tandem of brothers is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. A sort of cabinet of curiosities, sheltered from prying eyes, the place opened its doors in the pretty Passage des Panoramas. Guarded by winged wolves, between the walls of the former workshop of the engraver Stern, it allows you to discover the fine gastronomy of the three-star chef Massimiliano Alajmo.
Venetian-inspired (but not only), the menu brings together Jewish-style artichokes, fresh pasta topped with caviar, seafood or truffles or even a tiramisu according to the rules of the art. All accompanied by good transalpine wines. So many good reasons to go there this winter.
