The meeting between SKA Saint Petersburg and HC Sochi has just ended and it is important to emphasize that the number one hope of the Montreal Canadiens, Ivan Demidov, was once again very brilliant.
At first, Demidov, despite an imbalance, won a fight along the strip, in enemy territory, to immediately hand the disc to his partner Mikhail Grigorenko, who threaded the needle.
Before this success of Grigo scored on a power play, on a pass from Demidov, the score was 1-1 (in the first period). The duo therefore broken this tie in order to take the guides of the match… for only a while. HC Sochi seemed in better shape than SKA, despite a difference of 26 points in the standings (53 against 27).
That said, while the score was 4-2 at the end of the third period, Ivan Demidov allowed himself to score his 10th goal of the current campaign in “Demidov” style. By scoring his team’s third goal, SKA exploded at the end of the third period to bring the score to 5-4 in their favor.

During this duel, Demidov certainly sent a clear message to his “leader” thanks to his two points, during a playing time of almost 19 minutes. It fully demonstrates the character of the young man!
Let’s remember and emphasize that Demidov’s veteran and mentor, Evgeny Kuznetsov, suffered a significant concussion and it could keep him sidelined for a period of two months… Autumn suffered a violent blow to the head during the duel against CSKA Moscow.
