the essential
Yesterday in Montastruc, the i-Run athlete once again dominated the women's peloton over 11 km. In the scratch ranking, Tom Toussaint won.

“I am used to coming to this event, particularly because I am the godmother of a person with Down syndrome. This is my fourth victory here in four participations.” In Montastruc, Mylène Bacon feels at home. Yesterday, over 11 km (13th and final stage of the “Raphaël Lévy-La Dépêche du Midi” Challenge), the athlete in the colors of i-Run proved it again with a success in 52'54'', i.e. the 10th place overall.

“On the other hand, I have a lot of trouble when it's windy. It's really the only parameter that bothers me when I run. But I still had fun. And this race is very well organized”, concluded Mylène, who finished more than three minutes ahead of her main pursuer, Anaëlle Szternberg, big winner of this 2024 Trail Challenge.

For his part, Tom Toussaint was initially planned for the distance of 22 km. “I had a bad wake-up call, so I arrived late and asked for a bib for the 11 km. I was frustrated and angry. I struggled at the end. But I held on (laughing)”, summarized the member of the Avon Athletics Club, who works for i-Run.

To complete the list, Niels Oger (1h35'23'') and Marion Van De Steene (1h58'31'') dominated the 22 km.

A total of 1,150 competitors

Finally, behind the scenes, for this 6th edition of the Trail des Oufs, the Cap Montas association, counting the walkers, totaled 1,150 competitors. “We had anyway limited registrations so as not to exceed 1,200 participants. We had concerns about the weather. But we were able to keep our routes without changing them. We thank our partners and our 135 volunteers, who are as loyal as ever And once again, the event had its charitable aspect with 8,500 euros collected for Hôpital Sourire”, confided Stéphanie Fohanno, treasurer of the association.

Here are the first three and the first female in the 11 km:

1. Tom Toussaint, 46'17''

2. Adrien Dupont, 47’36’’

3. Matthieu Barbaray, 48’13’’…

10. Mylène Bacon, 52'54''…
