After months of work, Camille Suzanne and Anthony Etienvre opened Tamout, in Bazouges-la-Pérouse (Ille-et-Vilaine), a grocery store dedicated to local, organic and quality products.

1. Why did you choose to open this grocery store in Bazouges?

“We wanted to create a space that reflects our values and is a place to live. The idea was to offer local products, but also to encourage exchanges between residents. This old butcher's shoplocated in the heart of the village, seemed ideal for hosting this project. After several months of preparation and work, we are delighted to be able to open a place that makes sense.”

2. What sets Tamout apart from other grocery stores?

“Our priority is to work with local producers who share our commitments. Tamout offers fresh, organic and seasonal products, but also rarer specialties such as vanilla grown in or Gaec cheese from Domaines de Saint-Rémy-du-Plain, recently awarded an award at the international dairy products competition. . We make it a point of honor to offer our customers the best of the local terroir.”

3. What is your vision for the future of Tamout?

“We want to offer a place where everyone can feel at home, a place where we take the time to meet and talk. The idea is to make this grocery store a real rallying point for residentswhile supporting local producers. By purchasing here, our customers know that they are directly supporting their territory. We hope that Tamout will become a must-see place in Bazouges-la-Pérouse.”

The Tamout grocery store is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the following address: 12, place du Monument, Bazouges-la-Pérouse. You can contact them on 06 60 39 18 00 or by email at [email protected].
