A fire broke out during the night of Tuesday, December 3 in a squatted building in Caluire-et-Cuire. At least four people were injured, two of whom are in absolute emergency. Research continues.
A body found in the rubble
The City of Lyon announces thata lifeless body was discovered in the rubble late in the afternoon.
Two people were seriously injured, two others more lightly.
Environ 80 people occupied the squat which caught fire. Still according to the City of Lyon, they mainly came from the evacuation of the “squat Pyramide” in the 7th arrondissement.
The causes of the fire are not yet known.

A violent fire in Caluire
The fire started around 1 a.m., on the night of Monday December 2 to Tuesday December 3, in a squatted buildingat the 1st rise of the Loop at Caluire-et-Cuire.
According to a provisional report from the Rhône prefecture, at least four people were injured, two of them in absolute emergency. These latter were defenestratedspecify the firefighters.
In total, 47 people were taken care of by emergency services. They were transported, using a requisitioned TCL bus, to a reception center armed with the Red Cross.
Caluire fire: research continues
Search operations continue in order to find possible other occupants, while a medical-psychological emergency cell was also activated.
THE firefighters mobilized for this disaster, in the number of 139, according to state services, managed to bring the fire under control around 3:30 a.m. 22 national police officers also went to the site.
