the essential
Captivating derby between Séméac and Aureilhan, marked by decisive tries and a fierce fight until the end.
A derby which attracted the big day crowd to the André Noguès stadium in Séméac, where the little ones from the local rugby school accompanied the players before the match.
The match begins with classic attacks, where everyone finds something to their advantage: two penalty goals from F. Dasté (6-0, 8th) and a penalty goal from Loubiou (6-3, 12th).
Two actions set the rhythm of this derby: the breakthrough of Cazedessus followed by a kick to follow, and an overflow from Dubosq, supported by his forwards, which narrowly failed to materialize a few centimeters from the try line.
The match is then truly underway, and the Séméacais realize their efforts thanks to a penalty played by hand. Damestoy, in power, scored the first try of the match, transformed by F. Dasté (13-3, 23rd).
F. Dasté adds a new penalty before the break (16-3, 35th). However, the Aureilhanais reduced the score just before half-time: on a closed scrum within the visitors' 22 meters, Loubiou went close and flattened (16-10, 38th).
Aureilhan returns, but…
We expected an explosive derby in terms of play, and it was at times during the second half. Dubosq, after a restart led by Pontico and A. Dasté, scored a superb try (23-13, 56th).
However, these ten points lead were reduced to nothing in the last quarter of an hour.
The Aureilhanais, camped for a long time within 22 meters of Limaquès, reduced the mark thanks to a charge from Mouton, which ended up flattening.
