Three young students were slightly injured this Wednesday, November 27, 2024, around 10 a.m., at the Jean-Lurçat college in (Maine-et-). A device with acid exploded in the toilet. If the incident does not present any terrorist character, according to the prosecutor, an investigation has been opened.

It was around 10 a.m. this Wednesday, November 27, 2024, when an explosion rang out at the Jean-Lurçat college in Angers (Maine-et-Loire). In the boys' toilets on the ground floor, “it was a homemade device, with acid, which exploded”, indicates Philippe Chopin, prefect of Maine-et-Loire, who visited the site. But the explosion “does not present any terrorist character”, confirms Eric Bouillard, public prosecutor of Angers.
