North Korean troops: Seoul and kyiv to share military information
South Korea and Ukraine have agreed to share information on the deployment of North Korean troops in Russia, the South Korean presidency said in a statement on Wednesday, during a visit by the Ukrainian Defense Minister. South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol received the Ukrainian delegation led by Minister Roustem Umierov and expressed “the hope that the two countries would work together” against the “security threats” posed by military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang, according to this press release.
kyiv and Seoul “agreed to continue to share information on the deployment of North Korean troops in Russia and the transfer of weapons and technology between Russia and the North Korea »added the presidency. The Ukrainian delegation should also seek to convince South Korea to send weapons to kyiv to support this country which has been in the grip of the Russian invasion for almost three years.
The Ukrainian delegation’s trip to South Korea comes against a backdrop of Pyongyang’s growing commitment to Moscow, including the deployment of North Korean forces on Russia’s side. This intensification of military cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow has pushed Seoul to change its arms policy, no longer ruling out delivering weapons directly to kyiv.
