A 66-year-old man was found dead in an apartment located in the town of Voiron (Isère), this Saturday, November 23 in the early evening. The victim had several stab wounds.
His 70-year-old companion was taken into police custody, according to information from Dauphiné Libéré confirmed by the Grenoble public prosecutor, Eric Vaillant, this Sunday.
According to daily information, the septuagenarian raised the alarm with a neighbor, who called the police and emergency services. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found that the man was in cardio-respiratory arrest. He could not be resuscitated.
An altercation could be the cause of the tragedy. A police investigation was opened to determine the exact circumstances.
