At the end of the match lost by RC Lens against OM, with a score of 3-1, the Marseille striker, Elye Wahi, formerly of Sang et Or, was the victim of projectile throws. Fortunately without consequences.
Rather rare to witness such incidents in Bollaert, a very legendary venue for our football and renowned for its extraordinary fervor. But last night, shortly after the final whistle during the RC Lens-OM match, won by the Marseillais with a score of 3-1, striker Elye Wahi was the victim of projectiles. In question, we imagine, his transfer last summer, from Lens to Marseille, and his presence near the Marek stand, where the Kop des Sang et Or is located.
If the images below do not allow us to see precisely what happened, we still see Leonardo Balerdi, the central defender of OM, take Wahi by the waist and lead him towards the supporters much more welcoming, those of Marseille in this case. Note that these projectile throws fortunately had no consequences.
Jeered at the announcement of his name
Elye Wahi was booed when his name was announced even before the start of the match. And the former Lensois suffered quite a setback when he came on at the very end of the match. Nothing, however, justifies throwing projectiles at a player. Nothing.
