Miguel Oliveira wants more: “The team solved yesterday’s problems in the corners but we want to take another step forward”

Yesterday Miguel Oliveira spoke about the need to correct specific parts of his bike at Assen, and today he admitted that those same issues have been resolved. Nevertheless, and despite having had ‘the best bike’ so far at the Dutch Grand Prix, the Portuguese wants more.

After speaking about the need to improve the RS-GP’s cornering ability on the first day of work in Assen, the Portuguese admitted that he still wants to improve and that today he obtained important data to achieve this: ‘Today the issue of ability to take turns has been fixed, but we had many problems with the movement [de la moto] in high speed corners, not very bad, but the team solved that for the Sprint and now we want to take a step forward for tomorrow and see where we can gain time.’

The Portuguese finished 12th in the Sprint but was very close to the top ten, and he claimed that was partly due to an error of judgment near the end.

Among the Aprilias he was second, since Maverick Viñales was third, and Aleix Espargaró, who was sixth, even fell in the final moments of the race, while Raúl Fernández, who even entered Q2 directly, was 17th.
