“Travel trends”: as summer approaches, the expression is everywhere and a little depressing. Because travel has become a fashion like any other and we choose our destinations like our shirts – less out of curiosity than out of mimicry. There was Iceland in 2017, Mexico in 2018, the Isle of Wight invaded the following year and then, recently, the comeback of Japan and Bali.
