It was the first group to invest the Mainstage 2 this Friday, June 28. Not easy to wake up the festival-goers after a first day as exciting as it was exhausting, notably marked by the more than successful sets of Green Lung and Dark Tranquillity. But Saint Agnes was not afraid to take on the challenge and actually did very well. With its dynamic and powerful heavy rock, and the communicative energy of its singer Kitty A. Austenthe British group even managed to create a first wall of death at the end of his set at 11am! A great feat and a great discovery to start this second day of Hellfest !

Festival-goers arrived at the site in dribs and drabs at the end of the morning of this second day of the Hellfestwhere Machine Head, Shaka Ponk, Tom Morello, Amorphis, Biohazard, among others were expected. While some were already at headbanger in front of the Mainstage and the Temple, others strolled through the aisles of the festival, sometimes wearing sublime and incredible outfits, like this festival-goer wearing a sparkling red dress.

They come to us from Hungary and offer an intimate and minimalist dark folk. They are the members of The Devil’s Trade. Scheduled at 11:40 a.m. on the Valleythe group unfortunately lacked energy live. But it does not prevent their soaring music from hypnotizing part of the assembly present for the occasion. All you had to do was close your eyes and let yourself be carried away to enjoy a beautiful musical journey.

First real favorite of this day of June 28 with the Japanese of Lovebiteswho really made the show on the Mainstage 1 around noon. Unlike their compatriots from Baby Metal, no choreography for them, but instead a real show mixing power metal and heavy metal. All dressed in white (white being the color worn in Japan to pay tribute to the dead), the girls literally took us by surprise!

The Japanese quintet Lovebitesultra-smiling and visibly very happy to be scheduled at Hellfestknew how to alternate between sharp riffs and powerful beats, all carried by the impressive voice of the singer Asami. On stage, the girls had fun and displayed a solid bond that was a pleasure to see. In short, an invigorating and effective set that only boded well for the rest of the day.

They are French and play progressive metal. They are the members of Clones. Scheduled this Friday on stage Altarthe combo didn’t take long to do headbanger festival-goers. It must be said that the group was able to count on its compositions as powerful as they were effective, and on the captivating voice of its leader Yann Similar.

Many know him as the leader of Leprous. In fact, there were a few T-shirts in the audience with the image of the famous Norwegian group. But this Friday afternoon, it was as a solo artist that Einar Solberg performed on stage Altar. For the occasion, the charismatic singer with the powerful voice took the opportunity to perform several pieces from his first solo album entitled “16“. Surrounded by his musicians, including a violinist, Einar delivered a captivating and beautiful set, both sunny and dreamlike.

The supergroup Savage Lands put on a show this Friday afternoon. While the environmental and musical project benefits this year from a stand at HellCity Square, the band was scheduled on the Mainstage 2 this June 28. For the occasion, the combo – created by Sylvain Demercastel and Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth) – invited several prestigious artists on stage, including Alejandro Montoya (Cultura Tres), Andreas Kisser (Sepultura), Chloé Trujillo and Silje Wergeland (The Gathering). The icing on the cake is with the title “ Roots Bloody Roots » of Burial that Savage Lands finished his cheerful and supportive set.

For the second consecutive year, the SPA is present at Hellfest. The famous animal protection association has also benefited this year from a successful and offbeat clip with in guest Didier Wampas. On its stand at HellCity Square, the SPA is waiting for festival-goers within its “ Love Shellter “, fully dedicated “to the alchemy that exists between animals in need of affection and metal festival-goers who have so much love to give“. Exclusive merchandising is also offered for the occasion.

Powerful, thunderous and energetic! This Friday evening, the Finns ofAmorphis were widely acclaimed during and after their highly successful set which they delivered under the stage tent. Altar. The Nordiques, who play atmospheric death metal, alternated old and new pieces to the delight of the festival-goers present for the occasion. Tomi Joutsen was in great shape. With his impressive, wide-ranging voice, the singer ofAmorphis got everyone to agree and made headbanger a large part of the audience, visibly won over by this concert, and we were part of it!
