As in 2012, 2016 and 2021 – the town of Maine-et-Loire was also the theater of France in 2005 and 2009 – the competition constitutes the last meeting for athletes in search of Olympic minimums.

Even a qualification for the Games since in several disciplines, there are more than three – the number of tickets for Paris – to have obtained their qualification. It is therefore the podium of the French championships which will be authoritative for a place at the Games.

This Saturday, 16 finals are on the program. Notably that of the women’s 400m, where the Angevine Amandine Brossier, triple title holder, will seek the fourth place at home.

Or that of the men’s triple jump with the presence of Teddy Tamgho, world champion in the specialty in 2013, who became a coach and returned to being an athlete after a 5-year break.
