Pedro Acosta finished the first day of testing for the Dutch Grand Prix with the sixteenth time. The Assen TT circuit, although legendary, has not always been favorable to the Spaniard, and this opening day seemed to confirm this trend.

Acosta set a time of 1’33.283 in the first free practice session, placing him in 14th position, and the last rider less than a second behind the session leader. In the afternoon, the rookie managed to improve his time by more than a second, temporarily maintaining himself in the top 10 until the time trial session. However, despite continued improvement in his sectors, a yellow flag cancelled his best lap, leaving him outside the top 10.
