While the police had been asking him for several months to provide news, the 44-year-old father finally cooperated.
Ryan Borgwardt, an American father of three, “disappeared” last August after a kayaking trip on Green Lake in Wisconsin. Presumed to have drowned, a huge number of resources were deployed to find his body but in reality the man was found faked his death to abandon his family and join a woman based in Uzbekistan and met online.

And while the police had been telling him for several months to give newsthe 44-year-old father finally cooperated. “Excellent news: we know that it is alive and healthy“declared this Thursday, November 21, the deputy chief of the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office. “The bad news is that we don't know exactly where Ryan is and'he hasn't decided to go home yet', he added.
“I'm safe, no problem”
At the same time, the authorities revealed the video of 24 seconds that Ryan sent them last week. “Good evening, this is Ryan Borgwardt. Today is November 11th. It's around 10 a.m. at your place. I'm in my apartment. I'm safe, no problems. I hope you're okay to walk“, he only said.

Since receiving this video, investigators have communicated with Ryan almost daily, assured the chief deputy of the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office, who specifies that the man doesn't talk about his family. He would only express regret for the suffering he may have inflicted on his wife (or rather ex-wife) and his children.
