Launched last August, Star Wars Outlaws did not meet with the expected success, sales were very low one month after its release. Ubisoft took measures and notably postponed the release ofAssassin’s Creed Shadows to avoid making the same mistake again, while Massive Entertainment strives to correct the situation with major updates.
Today the developers released version 1.4.0 of Star Wars Outlaws, which modifies and improves quite a few aspects of the game. A substantial patch which weighs 8.83 GB on PC, 7.44 GB on PS5 and 10.18 GB on Xbox Series, the changelog is available in English on the websiteUbisoftbut here are the essential points:
- Notable updates have been made to stealth and combat, which give players greater choice, including using stealth or taking their blaster, even in city union territories.
- Improvements to AI and enemy detection, with players notified when they are detected and can choose to intensify or change tactics to remain stealthy.
- Enemy weak points have been added to reward strategic play, which, if targeted, can trigger explosions or cause enemies to die spectacularly.
- The blaster and weapons picked up by Kay have been retuned to improve the combat experience, including allowing two-handed weapons to be carried in more situations.
- Facial expressions and animations in dialogue scenes have been improved, the option to turn off cinematic aim during gameplay has been added, and the visibility of distant lights has been improved.
Gradually, Star Wars Outlaws finally becomes a well-balanced and really interesting game, you can buy it from 47 € on Amazon, Cdiscount, Fnac et Gamesplanet.
