Recently, the Guyenne Gascogne Québec reading committee met to review the 3 works in competition for this year 2024.
Three works, which were available at the Danielle-Esteban media library, as well as at that of Laplume.
These three works were chosen by the France Québec jury at the start of the year. It is the Quebec publishers who give the names of 8 works by different authors. The French jury chooses three from these eight. Then, each local committee distributes the titles to members or supporters, who after reading and analysis will vote for an author. The three works selected for this year were, “What I know about you” by Eric Chacour, “Wild flowers” are only wild in the name by Anne-Marie Duquette, “The version that interests no one” by Emmanuelle Pierrot. These three novels were made available to readers in the two media libraries; after reading, fans made their choice by November 15 at the latest.
