Yesterday, the fourth day of the hearing of the murder trial on January 25, 2021 at Mas de Mingue of young Abdelkader Safi, aged 17, nine defendants are included in this case.
Yesterday afternoon the courtroom was quite full.
When the session resumed, Dr. Benslima, head of the forensic medicine unit at the CHU, revealed his report on the causes of the teenager’s death before the Assize Court. He stated that the young man had no chance of survival but that he did not suffer, despite his gunshot wound to the pelvis.
The court decided to broadcast some audio passages that had been recorded with a microphone hidden in a USB key, crucial evidence for the investigation.
Listening to her excerpts was sometimes inaudible because of the rap music polluting the conversations. The president therefore read the subtitles after each excerpt.
In these passages, we can hear conversations between the alleged accused, they call each other by nicknames like “the caste”, “zak” or “the wolf”.
They announce their order: “We have the bulletproof vests.” They also talk about the planned attacks, one of the suspects declares, “Tonight you will be on BFM.”, another explicitly reveals the attack: “We kill Abdou first, then we will have two weeks to kill everyone.”
