If you shop at Leclerc and Intermarché, be careful. You are probably no stranger to the concept of product recalls. It must be said that we have, on average, eleven every day. In other words, all brands and all products can be found on Rappel Conso.

This government platform centralizes information about recalls. Brands are required to provide all important information. In this way, consumers can, on the same page, access all the important data they need. Let’s focus on a reminder that may concern you. The danger is real.

Leclerc and Intermarché in the government’s sights

Rappel Conso shares with us a product recall that concerns the Leclerc and Intermarché brands. This is a way for us to remind you that all brands can be found on this site. Even the most popular ones, even the ones that seem untouchable.

Today, if Leclerc and Intermarché are on Rappel Conso, it is because of the sale of molds. If you are a fan of this bivalve mollusk, beware. Indeed, This recall exists due to contamination with E. coli bacteria.. However, the latter makes their consumption dangerous.

Details of the recall at Leclerc and Intermarché

A specific batch of die molds, marketed by Leclerc and Intermarché, is affected by this recall. Analyzes (self-monitoring) reveal the presence of E. coli bacteria. These molds were distributed in Brittany, Centre-Val de Loire, New Aquitaine and Pays de la Loire between June 19 and 21, 2024.

The incriminated batch bears the number 240619, with the health mark FR 17.091.057 CE and the identification code GTIN 3760175740312. You have until Saturday June 29 to go to your Leclerc or Intermarché store. You do not need the receipt to obtain reimbursement. However, reimbursement is only possible if you come with the molds in question.

Otherwise, Leclerc and Intermarché can reimburse you if you present your receipt. But most importantly, besides the reimbursement, is not to eat the mussels. In fact, they present a real danger to your health. Let’s find out why together.

Risks to consumer health

Eating these mussels can cause gastroenteritis, abdominal pain and diarrhea, sometimes accompanied by blood and fever. If you have just eaten these mussels, there is no need to panic. Not everyone reacts the same way to bacteria.

However, you must monitor your health. At the slightest sign of an infection, go to your doctor. To save time, tell him how much you consume of mussels from Leclerc or Intermarché. He will thus be able to take care of you.
