Claire Gallois, born Claire Renard on October 8, 1937, began her literary career in 1965 with the work, To my only desire. She became a columnist for several media, such as Paris Match, Elle, Marie-Claire or Le Figaro, and more recently for The Point. Son roman The Heart in four received the Anaïs-Ségalas prize in 1982, awarded by the Académie française.
Among his other works, we can cite The Honor of the Unemployed, published in 1988. More recently, Me President, published by Stock in 2014, collection of his columns for Le Point, and a novel, And if you didn’t existpublished by the same house in 2017.
His latest book, Aliaswas published by Flammarion in 2021, the story of a witness to a shipwreck which intersects with the experiences of other damaged parents and children.
Claire Gallois was named Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1998, and promoted to Officer of the National Order of Merit in 2012.
A blessing will be given on Wednesday, November 27 at 10 a.m. in the Basilica of Sainte Clotilde, 23 rue Las Cases, in Paris.
