Death of Mr. Michel Gaspard

It was with sadness that we learned of the death of Mr. Michel Gaspard, which occurred on June 25 in Epinal following a stroke.

The second of 4 children, Michel Gaspard was born on September 29, 1930 on the family farm in Bonnefontaine. He had worked for some time at the cheese factory before spending his entire professional career as a field ranger in Tholy, while being a member of the GAEC de la Petite Neuvelotte with his brother Maurice from 1969 to 1979. On September 23, 1957 he married Cécile Perrin. The couple moved into the town hall before taking over the family home in 1973. They also adopted Sophie in July 1967, when she was 11 months old. A collector of postcards, passionate about local history, he wrote a book in 1973. Member of the Association of Friends of Cleurie and cartophile clubs, Michel was a naturally curious man, with a lively mind and who loved to share his passions like genealogy. In particular, he had been carrying out research on the Duvoid and Gaspard families for almost 30 years. His funeral will be celebrated on Friday June 28 at 10 a.m. in the Tholy church.

Our sincere condolences.
