Meung-sur-Loire. Sun-drenched Olympics…
It was under a blazing sun that the Cycle 3 Olympiads or Usépiades were held. Monday, all day, 262 children from Baccon, Coulmiers, Bardon and the three Meung schools (Papecets, Potières and Jehan de Meung), met during very Olympic sporting events.
The athletics, football and tennis stadiums made it possible to host the ten events prepared and managed by teachers in the sector. Many parents came, helping, among other things, to secure the orientation course and guiding the young athletes between each activity center.
Sylvain Barreau, departmental delegate of Usep, underlined the involvement of teachers. “The children had a lovely sunny day. Certain activities, such as cycling, required significant preparation in advance, in class. » And Anna Rogunsky, CM1/CM2 teacher who runs the run and bike workshop, explains: “The children run in pairs, one on a bike and the other on foot, and they take turns depending on their fatigue. 4.5 kilometers is a long time for some.”
Everyone wanted to warmly thank Yoann Maufay, the director of Bardon primary school, for his commitment to Usep and the support he provided to the teaching community throughout this school year. “This morning, he was with us from 7:30 a.m. to prepare everything,” assured a teacher.
