FC Nantes – Mercato: A scorer finally arrives and the agreement is close for 10 million euros!

FC Nantes are set to make club history with a transaction that could surpass their previous record. Indeed, the Canaries are considering a major transfer by securing the services of Matthis Abline, the striker loaned by Stade Rennais last season.

Anthony Limbombe currently holds the title of the Nantes club’s biggest purchase, for an amount of 8.5 million euros. However, this record could be broken if Nantes materializes its interest in Abline with an attractive offer.

A sum exceeding 10 million euros would be on the table to acquire Abline, whose purchase option was initially set at 6 million euros. However, Rennes having exercised its priority clause and recovered the player for an additional 2 million, hopes to achieve a nice added value.

According to Ouest-France, Nantes would have offered no less than 10 million euros, not to mention additional bonuses. An ambitious strategy which demonstrates the pronounced interest of Nantes leaders in the young French striker.

The final agreement between the two clubs has not yet been sealed but everything suggests that discussions are advanced. Hope remains for a positive conclusion to this affair thanks in particular to Abline’s stated desire to continue his journey with the Yellow and Green.

Matthis Abline himself seems eager to confirm his commitment to FC Nantes. His recent publications on social networks only reinforce this impression that he already sees himself signing his name for the long term within the club.
