He doesn’t want to share his little secrets – Sports Infos – Ski

The 32-year-old Norwegian biathlete, multiple medalist at the Nove Mesto World Championships in 2024, 4th overall in the World Cup in 2022, 3rd in 2023 and 5th last season, spoke to FondoItalia.

“I feel good and I’m happy to be in Livigno. At the moment I’m skiing a little slower than at home because we’re at altitude. But after Lavazze, last week, we continue our work to prepare for the better the next two seasons.

I am starting to feel the effects of training at height because at home I have already spent 12 days in a hypoxic tent set at 2600m.

Every morning we get up early, we do three to four hours of physical training then we have our meal, with Italian but also Norwegian products, prepared by our chef.

Then the afternoon is a little more relaxed and we spend a lot of time on the shooting range.

Last season was probably the best of my career, I’m getting older and older but I’m also getting stronger and stronger. I hope next winter will be even better because I have no plans to stop.

We have a few little secrets but I’m not going to reveal them to you because Tommaso Giacomel, Didier Bionaz and Eric Perrot are very strong young people who can compete with our team.

So for us there is no question of sleeping. There are six of us in the A team, all capable of shining and we work very well together. No one is jealous of their neighbor and we share our secrets with each other.

Concerning the next world championships in Lenzerheide, we like the track and its strong smell of fondue but this year we will arrive better prepared thanks to our different courses at altitude.

Most of us will also spend the holidays at altitude and return there between Antholz and the worlds.” concluded Vetle Sjastad Christiansen.
