If Apple dominates the high-end tablet market with its iPads, Samsung is in an excellent position in the Android tablet segment. And its latest batch, the Galaxy Tab S9, only confirms its reputation, notably with the transition from an LCD panel to an AMOLED screen. And the good news is that the base model becomes even more interesting since the Galaxy Tab S9 benefits from a reduction of more than 200 euros.

A major change that is more than welcome!
With this generation of tablet, Samsung has initiated a major and more than welcome change: from now on, all models benefit from high-end display quality. Goodbye LCD, make way for an AMOLED screen on the Galaxy Tab S9, like its big sisters, the Tab S9 Plus and Ultra. It also benefits from the same infinite contrast ratio. The entry-level thus sports an AMOLED panel in WQHD definition (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) with a refresh rate of 120 Hz for the smoothest experience.
On the design side, there are no big changes. The Galaxy Tab S9 takes over the features of previous generations and that’s not a bad thing since Samsung had already done an excellent job. We thus find ourselves with an 11-inch format with a 16:10 ratio, a brushed aluminum back and a discreet photo module. On one of its sides, the tablet has a magnetic recess to stick the S-Pen, the manufacturer’s stylus which is very practical for navigating through the device interface. Finally, on the edges, we find the speakers, as well as the USB-C port for charging.
A multi-use tablet
Equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor combined with 8 GB of RAM, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 ensures very good performance. It is more than up to the task in all types of use, whether in office or browsing, including streaming and gaming. And the cherry on the cake, no heat is felt, even with the most demanding games.
Added to this is Olympic autonomy, thanks to an 8,400 mAh battery. The South Korean manufacturer announces a battery life of more than 15 hours. However, we regret that the charging is limited to 45W, which means that it takes at least two hours for it to replenish its energy.
