36th Cheese and Wine Fair

Attention all gourmets and gourmands! The Cheese and Wine Fair, one of the largest open-air fairs in France, organized by the town of Antony, will be held on September 8, 9 and 10 in the Saint-Saturnin district. This vintage, the 36th of the name, will once again celebrate the terroir of the regions.

For this new issue, twelve French regions will be represented thanks to the 135 exhibitors who will travel to Antony. Among them, more than half come from the wine industry, the others are divided between cheesemakers and producers of foie gras, artisanal charcuterie, jams, biscuits and other sweets… This festival will offer the opportunity to meet the ambassadors of the French regions, to discover their specialties, their manufacturing secrets and of course to taste and buy their products.

Among the new products, Saturday afternoon, time for a tasting of Neufchâtel AOP, from the Normandy region. His particuliarity ? It is a cow’s milk cheese, with a soft paste and a bloomy rind. Heart-shaped,
its slightly salty and smooth lactic paste reveals aromas that are typical of it. The ambassadors of the Plessis cheese dairy will be keen to introduce curious visitors to their products on their stall: Pont l’Evêque, Livarot, Camembert, Pavé d’Auge and of course Neufchâtel. What do they have in common? They are all AOP and are made from raw milk, which gives them their character and authenticity.

• 22:30 : Closure of stands and catering areas

• 10h : Opening of stands
• 14h-17h : Musical entertainment with the fanfare The Saints Pères’band and the group Les Catatoniques / Basket game and question-and-answer game on gastronomy and local news to win local products
• 19h : Closing of the Fair
