The Résolières district, in Le Blanc, experienced a particularly early awakening on Monday, November 18. From 6 a.m., around sixty gendarmes, divided into six teams, were mobilized to arrest six people. Five of them lived in the Blanc district, and a sixth in Montmorillon.
The gendarmes of the Blanc company were reinforced by brigades from Indre and a neighboring department. Three dog teams and investigators from the departmental group were, among other things, mobilized for this operation. These arrests led to the placement in police custody of the six people for acts related to drug trafficking. Seizures of cannabis, cash and contraband cigarettes took place during the searches and arrests.
Traffic denounced by local residents
This trafficking was the subject of an investigation carried out by the Blanc research brigade for several months. “People were disturbed to see that trafficking was taking place in broad daylight”explains the mayor of Blanc, Gilles Lherpinière. Traffic closely monitored by law enforcement. “I was simply informed that an investigation was opened. »
The sale of narcotics a priori mainly concerned cannabis. The suspects are five men and a woman, between around twenty and forty years old. One of them lives in Montmorillon. It was not specified exactly how long this sales system had been in place. The suspects were all still in police custody on Monday evening, November 18.
For Mayor Gilles Lherpinière, this is the first time that trafficking has taken place in such an ostensible manner in Le Blanc.
