To grow and reach new customers, the low-cost clothing brand is looking for a location in Lyon.
The channel's management confirmed to Progress that it was seeking to establish itself in the third largest city in France. “In Lyon, we are looking but it is difficult to find the right shoe for us, already because of the cost it represents but also because the premises do not always match. We need at least 250 m2 of usable surface area and with pillars in intra-muros Lyon, for us it's complicated,” says Nathalie Galmiche, Zeeman France sales manager.
Competition is intensifying
Faced with the inflation crisis, competition is intensifying between low-cost clothing and home equipment brands. Primark has extended its sales area at the Part-Dieu shopping center, the Danish brand Normal is increasing its stores in the Lyon metropolis, Naumy, the “French Primark” has opened a first store in Carrée de Soie, B&M and Action are continuing their development …
The distributor Walnut is also looking to set up in Lyon but like Zeeman, he cannot find a suitable location in the city center. The success of “low cost” brands is not about to stop…
