It is the most expensive city center/airport shuttle in France and it will remain so. THE Rhonexpress tramway direct between the Part-Dieu district in Lyon and Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport will be even more expensive in 2025 then in 2026.
The Sytral board of directors voted this Thursday, November 21, 2024, to increase Rhonexpress prices on January 1, 2025 and then on January 1, 2026. In addition to price increases for subscriptions and TCL tickets, the Lyon/airport shuttle is also affected by this price increase.
The one-way ticket purchased from the distributor will therefore increase from 16.70 to 17.10 euros in 2025, an increase of 40 cents. A one-way internet ticket costs 0.80 euros, going from 15.20 euros to 18 euros.
The vending machine round trip will increase from 29.10 euros to 29.80 euros and that purchased online will also increase, to 28 euros in 2025 instead of 26.70 euros currently.
Overall, all prices on the scale will increase (youth prices 12-25 years old, TGV station connection, airport employee prices, etc.).
Already an increase in prices recorded in 2026
The increase in prices will not stop there since an increase in prices is already planned for September 2026. The price of the ticket will increase from 17.10 euros in 2025 to 17.40 euros at the distributor in 2026.
On the internet, it will be sold for 16.30 euros in 2026 compared to 16 euros the previous year.
The round trip purchased from the distributor will cross a symbolic milestone of 30 euros. On September 1, 2026, it will be sold for 30.30 euros. On the internet, 28.50 euros.
