The Hérault Sport Club (MHSC) is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. To mark this anniversary, a legends match is organized this Saturday November 16, 2024 at the Mosson stadium. The team of former Montpellier stars will face the former French internationals of the Club des Internationaux de (CIF). A meeting marked by nostalgia and reunions, where memories of glorious times will be revived. The whistle will be blown at 3 p.m., but many activities are expected before the start of the match.


Among the players present, emblematic figures like Vitorino Hilton, a true pillar of the Montpellier defense for many seasons, but also Julio César and Robert Pirès. Carlos Valderrama will be absent from the meeting for family reasons.

Other names also stand out, like Souleymane Camara, John Utaka, Karim Aït-Fana and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, heroes of the 2012 French champion title. On the goalkeeper side, Geoffrey Jourdren will be back in the cages. The public will also be surprised to find the local comedian, fan of the MHSC, Paul Mirabel. The latter will have the honor of donning the club's colors for this special match.

For this meeting, only the Mediterranean, Gévaudan and Cévennes stands will be accessible to the general public. Tickets were sold at a single price of 5 euros. An attractive price which should attract many fans of the club, eager to see their idols of yesteryear in action again.

MHSC subscribers were also invited to this exceptional event. They could obtain their place by logging into their customer area on the online ticketing or by presenting their subscription card to the MHSC Store. The stadium is scheduled to open at 1 p.m. today, with a team warm-up starting at 2:10 p.m. and a little surprise taking place at 2:55 p.m.…
