A chase with dramatic consequences. The driver of a two-wheeler is in absolute emergency after having had a serious accident this Sunday, June 23, 2024 between Gennevilliers and Asnières-sur-Seine in Hauts-de-Seine, we have learned - Paris from the Nanterre public prosecutor’s office.
The circumstances of the tragedy remain to be clarified
According to a close source, the tragedy took place around 6 a.m. On Avenue Grésillons, the police noticed that a man – who refused them priority – rides a two-wheeler without a helmet. The latter is then chased by the police, but he succeeds in outwitting the police while driving at high speed.
In circumstances that are still unclear, the police found the two-wheeler on an SNCF track and the driver was seriously injured next to it. According to our source, the man hit a metal barrier before being thrown onto the tracks of line J of the Transilien.
Two open investigations
After this serious accident, the man was immediately transported to Beaujon hospital in Clichy (Hauts-de-Seine).
Two investigations were opened by the prosecution: a first for “refusal to comply”. She was entrusted to the Hauts-de-Seine departmental security. The second at the IGPN for “determine the exact course of events leading to the accident”.
