The weather is finally summery. Excellent news for the countless events this weekend. You can wear boaters and umbrellas in Bagnoles de l’Orne, walk or run in Granville, listen to jazz in Blainville-Crevon, celebrate the bird hill in Caen or play “Little Red Riding Hood” in Eure.

It’s a weekend that counts, the last one before the school holidays, it’s also the weekend of an election. The music, the beauty of nature and Norman heritage will do everyone good.

Sunday, in Bagnoles de l’Orne, the party will be extremely elegant. In the lake gardens, as in the “Belle Epoque” (from 1871 to 1914), the public will attend parades, concerts, and can dance. It is recommended to wear a costume.

In this Olympic year, the festival will explore the theme of sport with very modest period outfits. The Games took place in Paris in 1900, during the Belle Epoque.

Saturday and Sunday, the Blainville-Crevon Archéo-jazz festival (near Rouen) continues near the remains of the medieval castle. This is the 45th edition.

There is an “in” program and an “off” program, with free concerts:

29 juin, 18h00: Bmp Big Band

“A real family reunited for 25 years with around 100 concerts to its credit and its balanced and very rhythmic style.”

June 30, 1:30 p.m.: Lucillerolls

“Emerging Rouen artist with a musical style mixing pop, folk and soul unveils her first album “A place, a friend, an icon and a ghost”

On June 29, in Granville, you can share the efforts of 2000 walkers and runners, adults and children. It’s the “urban trail”.

First departure at 9:30 am (a charity walk), last at 7:50 pm. The routes cross attractive places, such as the gardens of the house of Christian Dior, a Tournesol swimming pool, a nightclub. A DJ will support the effort of the participants.

Saturday and Sunday, in Radepont (near Fleury-sur-Andelle), two “escape games” and a treasure hunt at the Château de Bonnemare.

They are themed around the story of Little Red Riding Hood. The games will take participants into the grange, the old stables, and the park.

In Caen, on Saturday June 29, the bird hill celebrates its 30th anniversary. This 17-hectare floral park was created for the 50th anniversary of the Landing.

The park has a very beautiful rose garden. A rose will be named after Yvonne Guégan, a Norman painter.
