The 2024 budget “in balance post-Games, or even slightly in surplus”

In his 76-page report, the MP also looks at the Games and writes that “ the overall Cojop budget would be in balance post-Games, or even slightly in surplus “. It is based in particular on the hearing of Fabrice Lacroix, administrative and financial director of Paris 2024.

The leader assured the rapporteur that the committee will not resort to the State guarantee, citing two elements: “ ticketing revenues higher than forecast, between 1.34 and 1.35 billion euros compared to the 1.24 billion euros initially anticipated » et « controlling costs related to private security companies through the early launch of markets, allowing price ranges to be set before the start of the Games and avoiding price inflation due to increased demand ».

The MP underlines that the State’s contribution to Paris 2024 has doubled over the years, going from €80 million initially planned to €154.4 million, or an additional €74.4 million. He notes, however, that if €44.5 million was included in the end-of-management finance law of November 30, 2023, the remaining €29.9 million is in fact a transfer from the unused budget of Solideo (delivery company Olympic works), returned to the State which gave them back to Cojop.

He notes that “ the overall budget of Solideo since its creation has reached 4.45 billion euros, down from the 4.51 billion euros initially planned the previous year “. This represents a slight increase of €70 million compared to the budget planned for 2018.
