The Ottawa Senators will be looking for their third straight victory Thursday night when they host the Philadelphia Flyers starting at 7 p.m. (ET). The Senators are taking advantage of the opportunity to host their Evening of Celebration of Indigenous Culture presented by Indigenous Tourism Ontario, featuring a variety of interactive and educational activities as well as artistic performances.
Tickets for Thursday night’s game are on sale HERE!
As part of the Evening of Celebration of Indigenous Culture presented by Indigenous Tourism Ontario, the Canadian Tire Center will vibrate to the rhythm of dances and percussion, there will be a market where fans can admire and purchase jewelry, works of art and hand-made clothing, then a silent auction or a painting and hand-painted goalie mask will be for sale.
The funds raised by the Senators Foundation during the game will be donated to various charities helping indigenous communities, not to mention Calian, the Senators’ jersey partner, who will make a donation in the amount corresponding to what was raised in evening classes. The charities that will benefit from Thursday night’s game are First Assist, Odawa Native Friendship Centre, Their Opportunity and the Maniwaki Native Friendship Centre.
On the ice, the Senators will face the Philadelphia Flyers for the first time this season. The Flyers are coming off a 4-3 shootout victory over the San Jose Sharks on Monday, marking their third straight shootout game for them. If there is any precedent, we can expect a close game between the Senators and Flyers.
