Newcomers win in Monte Carlo
Despite the presence of big guns on the field, the debutants emerged victorious in the clash between Korzinin and the Finnish player Ossi Ketolaanother newcomer to the world of poker. Korzinin’s unorthodox style and guru aura have made him one of the favorite players of Triton stream viewers.
“I haven’t had more fun watching poker,” a écrit Drew ‘BetOnDrew’ Gonzalez on X.
References to the 69-year-old’s wizard-like appearance quickly circulated on social media following his time on Triton, with “Gambledore” and “The Wizard” among the most memorable examples.
Korzinin remained elusive and rejected Triton’s interview requests throughout the week, according to series updates. He simply said he “had no words” after the victory.
The Triton Series in Monte Carlo runs from November 1-14 and will culminate in a $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) Bounty tournament and the currently ongoing $100,000 PLO tournament.
