After a few updates that have caused a lot of ink to flow, Warhammer Space Marine 2 receives a new one which should be much more convincing.
Warhammer Space Marine 2 had an explosive launch thanks to a very solid base, despite somewhat light content, particularly in Operations mode. Little by little, Saber Interactive is correcting the situation with new updates and additions of all types. These were, however, accompanied by significant nerfs, which provoked the ire of the Emperor's Angels. This new update should, however, reconcile them in their faith, notably by adding a new instrument of destruction against the many enemies of the Imperium.
Faith in Warhammer Space Marine 2 restored thanks to its latest update?
Released on September 9 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, Warhammer Space Marine 2 is already in version 4.5. After a grace period and record numbers, Saber Interactive's title has been regularly updated to try to stay on its very good momentum. Some players who were a little too zealous, however, rushed too quickly into Operations mode at its maximum difficulty, forcing the studio to nerf many elements of its latest success with a chainsword. A strategy that was clearly not to everyone's taste, many having lost faith in fighting in the service of the God-Emperor.
This is where Warhammer Space Marine 2 update 4.5 comes in, to try to once again galvanize the troops. This notably adds a new free weapon: the Neo-Volkite Pistol. Available for now only in Operations, while waiting for balancing menus for multi mode, it fires a ray of heat. The longer the beam is held on a single target, the more the damage increases. Ideal for elite enemies, this weapon can be used by the Assault, Vanguard and Rampart classes.
Update 4.5 also takes the opportunity to buff the Plasma Incinerator, the Bolter Sniper Rifle, the Occulus Bolter Rifles, SMG and the Automatic Bolter Rifle. These should now prove more effective and find a place of choice in the arsenal of your Adeptus Astartes. The update also fixes several bugs, in particular to ensure the best functioning of certain skills. Finally, Warhammer Space Marine 2 takes the opportunity to improve its performance and stability, particularly at the network level.
