It is recommended not to use these roads. Early this Wednesday November 13, 2024, two accidents occurred on the A25, at Nieppe and Englos. This causes several kilometers of traffic jams around Lille (North). Caution is required.
An accident between a van and a motorcycle near Nieppe
The first accident involved a van and a motorcycle. He intervened shortly before 7:30 a.m., announced the prefecture's road surveillance unit, in the direction of Dunkirk towards Lille, in the town of Nieppe, near interchange no. 9 (Armentières).
Shortly before 8 a.m., a 3 kilometer traffic jam had formed behind the accident site. At 8:17 a.m. it is indicated that it is undergoing resorption.
Another incident involving a car and a heavy goods vehicle near Englos
After the Englos interchange (n°7), in the Dunkirk towards Lille direction, near the town of Sequedin (PR 8), another accident this time involving a light vehicle and a heavy goods vehicle occurred, few time before the first.
The right lane and the emergency lane were then neutralized. At 8 a.m., the incident was over, but the road surveillance unit warned that a 6 kilometer traffic jam is being absorbed. The slowdowns affect the axis concerned, behind the accident site, as well as on the N41 in the direction of La Bassée towards Lille from the Fournes-en-Weppes sector.
