HAS only a few minutes from the end of the first Euro match of the French team against Austria, trailing 1-0, player Kylian Mbappé was the victim of a violent collision with Austrian defender Kevin Danso. The impressive images of his nose injury quickly flooded social networks, and worried fans were already imagining the worst for the man who is considered the Blues’ most formidable attacker.

In the 86th minute of play, Mbappé is lying on the field, with a bloody nose, while France leads Austria by only one goal. The player took a violent shoulder blow to the face during an aerial duel with Austrian defender Kevin Danso.

The operation ruled out
Once the fracture with displacement of the nasal septum was confirmed by the French team doctor, all fears immediately shifted to the consequences of this injury: will he have to undergo surgery? If the answer is yes, the captain of the Blues and Didier Deschamps’ real asset will not be able to get back on the field so soon, due to a longer healing period.

After a medical examination at the Dusseldörf University Hospital, the president of the French Football Federation (FFF) finally announced during the night that Mbappé will not be operated on “immediately” and will therefore be able to quickly regain his bearings on the Euro grounds. “He will undergo treatment in the coming days, without undergoing surgery immediately,” declared the FFF.
