The price of entry to the Eiffel Tower increases again this Monday, here’s how much it will cost you

Starting this Monday, you will have to pay six euros more to climb to the top of the Iron Lady.

It’s a date that some tourists and Parisians dreaded. From this Monday, prices for access to the Eiffel Tower are increasing by 20%. You will have to pay almost 6 euros extra for a full price ticket to access the summit by elevator, i.e. €35.30 instead of €29.40. Count on €17.70 for 12-24 year olds (€14.70 previously); and €8.90 for children aged 4 to 11, people with disabilities and their accompanying persons (instead of €7.40).

As for access to the stairs on the 2nd floor, the prices are certainly more accessible, but the increase is just as significant: €14.20 for an adult (instead of €11.80); €7.10 for a young person (€5.90 previously); and €3.60 for a child (€3). Free admission is maintained for children under 4 and RSA holders.

Objective of this new increase: to replenish the coffers of the Eiffel Tower Operating Company (Sete) which is showing a heavy deficit, partly linked to the health crisis. The fact remains that over a decade, the increase in prices is dizzying: +108% between 2014 and 2024! Ten years ago, you only had to pay €17 for an adult ticket to climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower using the elevator.

Inflation over ten years

Inflation doesn’t just affect the Iron Lady. Other Parisian emblems have also increased their prices. At the start of the year, the entrance ticket to the Louvre Museum increased from €17 to €22, an increase of 29%. This upward curve is particularly obvious if we compare prices between 2014 and 2024. As revealed The Parisian , the prize for inflation goes to the Catacombs, whose price for a full price ticket has increased from €10 to €24 in ten years, or a 140% increase. The podium is completed by the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre (+83% on the permanent collection).
