At the age of 20, Victor Wembanyama already receives a very high salary thanks to his rookie contract with Spurs. In an interview given to Seven to Eightthe young French star spoke about this significant sum of money.

In a billion-dollar league like the NBA, it is now commonplace to see players just starting their professional careers being paid handsomely. Particularly the prospects selected very high in the Draft. As the 1st pick of the 2023 vintage, it therefore seems logical that Victor Wembanyama obtained this kind of jackpot when he arrived on site.

And given his performance with Spurs this season, most observers agree that he has not usurped his attractive contract. Elected Rookie of the Year after a historic campaign, the young French interior delivered performances that have nothing to envy of certain stars with even more staggering salaries. His coronation, however, changed nothing in this, as he explained to Seven to Eight.

It is true that before playing across the Atlantic, Wemby could not claim such income, he who received around €200,000 during his last season in France.

Quite logically, the international tricolor is therefore delighted to have changed dimension in this regard and now believes he can protect his loved ones. Even more knowing that he also receives nice sums from the numerous brands which sponsor him or of which he is an ambassador, including Nike and Louis Vuitton.

By joining the NBA, Victor Wembanyama entered another sporting but also financial dimension. Aware of his luck, the young Spurs interior is delighted with his family, whom he can now consider safe.
