Stade Rennais has had a turbulent few days, after the slap received at Auxerre a week ago (4-0). Coach Julien Stéphan was dismissed, and the Breton leaders worked hard to find his replacement. If the Argentinian Jorge Sampaoli is tipped to become the new coach of SRFC, it is Sébastien Tambouret who will be on the bench against Toulouse FC, this Sunday, November 10.
In good shape, Toulouse knows the recipe
The usual reserve coach will experience his first in Ligue 1, at the head of a sick team, lacking in results since the start of the season with only three victories (for 11 points). Its main objective will be to breathe new dynamism into a group sorely lacking in confidence in recent times.
But victory will not be a foregone conclusion against a Toulouse team undefeated for three matches, remaining on two successes in Montpellier (0-3) and against Reims (1-0). The Violets already know the recipe for winning in Ille-et-Vilaine, since they overthrew the Rouge et Noir last season (1-2), in April 2024.
