At 27, Kwadwo Duah, author of the Nati’s opener against Hungary, scored his first goal with the Swiss selection. A great story for the Ludogorets player who discovered the joys of the international scene a few days ago.
Second selection and first goal
On June 4, Duah celebrated his first selection with Switzerland against Estonia (4-0). During this friendly, he did not really make an impression as the local press had pointed out. The newspaper The Geneva Tribune had written in his lines “apart from an alert, he had remained transparent”. Only 45 minutes on the pitch, which nevertheless led him to a starting place against Hungary. Last May, coach Murat Yakin announced a pre-list of 38 players, including the name of Kwadwo Duah. With his Bulgarian club, the former Young Boys Berne and transferred from Nuremberg for three million euros last summer has gotten ahead of the competition. A lead taken over his teammates like Embolo who has only played five Ligue 1 matches or Okafor, author of only six goals since his arrival at AC Milan. A successful first for Duah who hopes to perform a similar performance against Scotland on June 19 (9 p.m.).
