The crime was committed in the early morning, in a nine-story residential building located on rue de la Commune, near the intersection of rue Saint-Hubert.

According to our information, Kevin Mirshahi was the only individual who was originally supposed to be kidnapped. He is a 25-year-old man who has no criminal history, but has already been in the crosshairs of the Financial Markets Authority for his role in an alleged cryptocurrency fraud.

He owns a luxury apartment in the building.

But when the suspects arrived, three other people were at the scene, two women and a man. The entire group has been kidnapped and the police obviously fear for the safety of the quartet.

It is unknown how the suspects managed to get inside the imposing building and carry out their attack in the indoor parking lot.

According to police sources, a cryptocurrency story is at the origin of the crime.

Worried to death

Met at her home early Friday evening, Kevin Mirshahi’s mother was worried to death.

“I don’t know who could have taken it. His father and I are sad and very nervous. We have no news,” she said.

She did not want to elaborate so as not to harm the investigation.

Concerned by the situation, Kevin Mirshahi’s father, Hadi Mirshahi went there to get more information.

“Of course we are worried. I tried to pass, but the door is closed by the police. I can’t go back,” he said in an interview with TVA Nouvelles.

Mr. Mirshahi tried to call his son, but it went straight to voicemail.

An additional source of concern was added at the beginning of the afternoon, when the vehicle which would have been used by the kidnappers to transport their victims was set on fire in a dead-end street in the Laval-sur district. -le-Lac, on the banks of the Rivière des Prairies.

“We heard an explosion, like a gunshot before the vehicle burst into flames. It was intense. The firefighters arrived quickly and there was a large plume of black smoke in the sky,” said a mother who was fishing in the river with her partner and two children.

Still according to our information, four men tried to kidnap Kevin Mirshahi about a month ago, but the plan aborted at the last moment.

At the beginning of the afternoon, the SPVM mobile command post had been set up in front of the condo building where the quadruple kidnapping occurred.

Investigators were on site, as were forensic identification technicians.

No suspects had yet been apprehended in this case and the victims were still actively sought.

Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact 911 immediately.
