“I never wanted to talk to you about politics and get into the party game, because everyone is the master of their convictions and I don’t want mine to influence yours. […] But I think that firmly opposing an extreme ideology that advocates hatred and discrimination goes beyond taking any political position.”

In an open letter published Friday on Instagram, where he has more than 8.8 million subscribers, Squeezie – aka Lucas Hauchard – calls on his large community (19 million subscribers on YouTube) to vote in the French legislative elections, which will be held on June 30 and July 7. 22 hours after it was posted online, the publication in question already had nearly 1.7 million “likes” and 130,000 comments. Assumed objective: to warn against the “drastic” rise of the National Rally (RN) and its president Jordan Bardella.
