Obviously at war with the police, a woman from Seine-Maritime chose an approach that was audacious to say the least, attacking a parked police car… in front of the police station itself. But she didn't stop there, after damaging the vehicle with a metal table leg, she decided to set the dashboard on fire. A muscular operation which did not fail to leave its mark.
A table leg in hand and a hefty bill
Armed with her table leg, the attacker inflicted around fifteen blows on the police car, causing damage estimated at 655 euros. Not content with this first round, she also attacked a police officer's personal vehicle by breaking a window and setting fire to the dashboard using a rag soaked in nail polish remover. As a result, the car is destined for scrapping.
Arrest, but no appearance
Alerted by a neighbor, the officers arrested the forty-year-old immediately. Her criminal record was clean, but it appears that she suffered from some psychological problems. However, Tuesday November 5, the day of the hearing at the Saintes criminal court, she is conspicuous by her absence, having judged it wiser not to appear. Eight months suspended prison sentence and 800 euros in moral compensation for the police officer whose car was reduced to ashes.
