Riley Phillips will automatically serve a life sentence without the possibility of parole until he has served at least 10 years.
During the trial, which began on September 23, 27 people testified.
The defense pleaded self-defense, a thesis which did not convince the jurors.
The parents of Joedin Leger and his girlfriend, Chantal Boudreau, were present in the court room. They shed tears when the jurors confirmed they agreed with the verdict.
