“This festival of meetings at Bois Chevalier, which will be held over two days, offers us the opportunity to reflect and explore a different theme each year, while relating to the environment. For thatwe bring together all those involved in poetry and music during meetings, debates, conferences and concerts,” says Paul de Brancion, organizer and owner of the Château de Legé.

Conferences accessible to all

The 14the Rendez-vous du Bois Chevalier will focus on the theme “Go and look elsewhere”, Saturday June 29 and Sunday June 30, on the site of the castle, located 40 km south of Nantes. On Saturday, at 5 p.m., under the marquee, Paul de Brancion will welcome his guests and give an introduction to the program of Bois Chevalier meetings. The award ceremony for budding poets will follow.

Throughout the year, the festival organizes interventions, with the help of Clara Régy, poet and literature teacher, in schools in the Sud Retz Atlantique community of communes. For the first year, the public primary school Les Prés Verts, in Paulx, will participate in the challenge. The children will read their poem in front of the guests.

Conference, open stage, poetic walk

On Sunday, at 10:30 a.m., an open stage will be offered in the large dining room, to share one of your texts with the public. Then in the large living room, a chamber music concert will be given by students of the Nantes conservatory. Also on the program: conferences, poetry, and this year theater with a play by Paul de Brancion Nip Nap of unoccupied territoriesperformed by student actors from the Paris 6 conservatorye.

A poetic nomadic walk in the garden will be accompanied by violinists from the class of Marie Violaine Cadoret from the Nantes Conservatory. At 7:15 p.m., a concert closed these meetings at Bois-Chevalier.

After their speech, the authors will sign their book under the marquee, the central location of the event.
